After school virtual “club” that engages your child(ren) in preparing, cooking and nutritious discussions.
Each series will meet once a week, on Wednesday afternoons at 4PM, for three weeks. There will be 3 sessions in each series. Sessions will take place over Zoom.
Each session will be approximately 1 hour. Teacher will guide the students in real time through all aspects of the recipe from prep to completion. Parents are responsible for overall supervision of child(ren) with knives, appliances and stove top cooking.
Recipes, recipe binder and shopping list provided as part of registration. Some fun cooking tools will also be provided in each sign up kit. Options provided for those who want to prep in advance. Recorded video will be provided for those that want to review or who can’t view the class live. Purchase all 3 series for a discount!
Optional kits can be purchased which includes the non-perishable foods to be used in the recipes. Parents are still to provide the produce and dairy products needed in the recipes.
FALL 2020 Series
Afterschool Snacks – September 16,23,30 – registration closed on 9/4
3 sessions which incorporate a rainbow of veggies, lots of dips and spreads, and an interesting twist on “pops.” Kids will create creative ways to display their final products.
Stove top Vegetarian Dishes – November 11,18,*24 – registration closed on 11/2
3 sessions which incorporate a rainbow of veggies into stovetop meals. Healthy and nutritious full dinners that are made in under an hour.
No Bake Healthier Desserts – October 14,21,28 – registration closed on 10/2
3 sessions which show kids (and adults) that dessert can be nutritious too! Lots of ways to use the different appliances in a kitchen to create fun, delicious and healthier desserts.
Bonus – Creating Fun Lunches – December TBA
Bonus class for those who have purchased the 3 month series. Interesting and creative ways to make your lunch more nutritious and more fun!
